AXIS LIFE ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI-powered personal life coaching application available at axislife.net. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our service.

By creating an account or using AXIS LIFE, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your email address
• A password (stored securely — we never see it in plain text)

Session Data

When you use the coaching features, we store:

• Your quiz answers (reason for session, coaching style preference, focus area, and how you're feeling)
• Your conversation messages with the AI coach
• Session summaries (theme, insight, action step)
• Commitments you choose to save
• The date and time of each session

Usage Data

We may collect basic technical information such as your device type, browser type, and approximate geographic region (country level). We do not track individual pages visited or clicks beyond what is necessary to operate the service.

Email Engagement

If you have an account, we may send you re-engagement emails when you have not used the app in several days. We track only whether emails were delivered — not whether they were opened. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time using the link in any email we send.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and maintain your account
• Provide the AI coaching service and personalize each session
• Save your session history so you can return to past conversations
• Track your commitments across sessions
• Send re-engagement emails (you can opt out anytime)
• Improve the quality and reliability of the service
• Respond to your support requests

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for third parties, or any purpose beyond operating and improving AXIS LIFE.

4. Third-Party Services

AXIS LIFE uses the following trusted third-party services to operate:

Supabase

Anthropic (Claude AI)

Resend

We use Resend to deliver re-engagement emails. Your email address is shared with Resend only for the purpose of delivering emails you've consented to receive. Resend Privacy Policy →

Netlify

Stripe

We use Stripe to process subscription payments. When you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment information is handled directly by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. Stripe Privacy Policy →

Google Workspace

We use Google Workspace for internal team email communication at axislife.net. No user data is stored in Google Workspace.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase's infrastructure, which includes encryption at rest and in transit. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Some session data is also stored in your browser's localStorage as a local backup. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted unless you're signed in.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view all your sessions and data within the app at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data directly from within the app (Profile → Delete My Account). You may also request deletion by emailing coach@axislife.net. All deletion requests are processed immediately or within 30 days.
• Email opt-out: You can unsubscribe from re-engagement emails using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us.
• Correction: You can update your email address or password from within the app settings.

If you are located in the European Union (EU) or California, you may have additional rights under GDPR or CCPA. Please contact us at coach@axislife.net to exercise these rights.

7. Children's Privacy

AXIS LIFE is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us at coach@axislife.net and we will promptly delete the account.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and session data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of AXIS LIFE after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
